Former Wofford Star Miles Brown Signs Extension With Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders extended the contract of former Wofford College star defensive lineman Miles Brown on Friday.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed defensive lineman Miles Brown to a contract extension on Friday. 

Brown has played in 25 games for the green and white since 2022. He has 43 tackles, four tackles for loss, six sacks, and two fumble recoveries in his career. In 2023, Brown was named on Pro Football Focus’ Honor Roll after receiving a grade of 84.9 in week 13, which was the highest of all CFL defenders that weekend.

He went unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft and signed a free-agent deal with the Arizona Cardinals. He had four tackles in nine games for the Cardinals in 2019.  He had stints with the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions in 2020 and 2021.

He started 49 of 50 games from 2015-2018 at Wofford College. He recorded 174 defensive tackles, 38 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, two pass deflections, and two forced fumbles. He earned three All-Conference selections and third-team All-American honors in 2019.

Saskatchewan also announced that American defensive back Amari Henderson has re-signed for his third season on Thursday. They added running back Jerrion Ealy on Wednesday.
