Toronto Argonauts Re-Sign American Offensive Lineman Isiah Cage
Protecting MOP quarterback Chad Kelly is a major focus for Toronto this offseason, and the Argonauts went to work on re-signing a key veteran player on the line earlier this week.
The team announced Monday that they had re-signed American offensive lineman Isiah Cage, with 3Down Nation’s John Hodge reporting that the deal is a one-year agreement.
Cage began his professional football career with the Indianapolis Colts in 2016, but a season-ending injury kept him from ever playing a down before he was released in 2017.
After some time off, Cage headed north to play for the Argos in 2018 as one of their left tackles. He played a total of 24 games with Toronto, including 10 starts in 2023 as part of a line that allowed a league-low 19 sacks.
Toronto announced last week that they re-signed six players to the roster, including another key offensive lineman in Dylan Giffen.
