In a controversial second-half play from Saturday’s Duke-Louisville game, Grayson Allen appeared to take an elbow to the face from Jaylen Johnson.

Allen dove on the floor for a loose ball and got tangled up with Johnson, who threw a right elbow to Allen’s head as he came up with the ball. It’s tough to tell if it was inadvertent or not from the replay, but the game halted for a bit as referees evaluated the play.

The eventual ruling was a dead-ball contact technical foul for Johnson, with no flagrant foul or ejection assessed on the play.

Allen, who had a game-high 24 points at the time of the foul, remained in the game.
