Hogs Soccer Host Top-10 Crimson Tide in Home Conference Opener

Arkansas Soccer welcomes #9 Alabama Crimson Tide for their conference home opener. The Hogs, who are ranked just outside the top 10 at #11, wrap up a mini two-game homestand after a wild finish against Grand Canyon resulted in a 3-2 Hogs victory. Grand Canyon scored in the final minute of regulation only for Arkansas to seal the victory.
The team looks to build off back-to-back seasons in which they have reached the Elite 8 under head coach Colby Hale, who enters his 12th season on the hill. The Hogs kicked off conference play Friday, Sep. 15 with a 3-1 win over Tennesee and enters the matchup against Alabama with a 5-2-1 record with their only defeats coming against #4 North Carolina and then #9 Clemson.
Graduate forward Anna Podojil, already the program leader in history with 47 goals, trails only Emma Hawkins of Oklahoma (48) for the NCAA Division I active lead.
The matchup will kick off 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at Razorback Field. The game will be streamed on SEC Network Plus.
