Former Auburn Tiger on fire in the NBA after the All-Star break

This former Auburn Tiger is playing great in the NBA.

The NBA All-Star break has now come and gone, and the teams are back to playing games and hunting for playoff spots.

The NBA playoffs are right around the corner, and we will likely see some former Auburn Tigers playing in the postseason if their teams finish the regular season strong.

One former Auburn Tiger who has been on a tear in his first two games back from the All-Star break is Jabari Smith Jr. In his first game back from the break Smith Jr. scored 22 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, dished three assists, blocked a shot, and had two steals. In the game last night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Smith Jr. had 20 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, and had four assists. He has raised pretty much every single stat from his rookie season to this season, which has many people bought into the fact that he is one of the young stars in the league.

Smith Jr's head coach, Ime Udoka, had this to say about how the former Auburn Tiger has been playing since the All-Star break, "The rebounding numbers, his activity has been great. He has been aggressive with taking the shots opponents are giving him. The break did him well. But I think his mindset has been pretty well during the second half of the season."

If he keeps playing like this down the stretch, Smith Jr. has a chance to average a 15+ point double-double on the season. The former Auburn star will be a star in the NBA at some point, but he is developing quickly, which has been noticed by coaches and players around the league.
