Date Set for Florida’s 2024 SEC Football Media Days Appearance

The Florida Gators will take the podium on Day 3 of the 2024 SEC Football Media Days event.

The Southeastern Conference announced times and dates for each member program's SEC Football Media Days appearance between July 15-18 in Dallas, Texas.

Texas and Oklahoma’s insertion into the conference results in the trek westward, presenting a warm welcome of sorts amid the impactful expansion.

The Gators will fly into town Wednesday, July 17, slated to take the podium on Day 3 of the event. Florida is joined by Alabama (Kalen DaBoer), Mississippi State (Jeff Lebby) and league newcomer Texas (Steve Sarkisian), making Napier the lone veteran of SECMD among the quartet of presented head coaches.

The order of appearance is still to be determined.

A year ago, Gators head coach Billy Napier was flanked by veteran wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, center Kingsley Eguakun and cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. to preview the program’s second campaign under his control.

With the former two departing from Gainesville this offseason, a new batch of representatives will be chosen closer to the Gators' trip to the Lone Star State.

Florida will expectedly operate under the microscope of local and national media prior to 2024 as it enters a critical prove-it year in the Napier regime — following back-to-back finishes below .500.

Coverage of the event will take place on SEC Network throughout the week.
