The Florida State Seminoles wrapped up their second scrimmage of the spring as they charge ahead in the 2024 offseason. There are only five practices left before their annual Garnet and Gold Spring Showcase on April 20 and questions have risen about who will be taking snaps under center that game although it will likely showcase the quarterback room as a whole.

Head coach Mike Norvell met with the media after the scrimmage and praised Oregon State transfer DJ Uiagalelei for his performance during the contest, even going as far as saying it was his best practice of the spring.
"I thought today was his best day. He's had some good days in spring practice, but today he operated at a very, very high level and you saw the confidence of the ball getting out where it's going," Norvell said.
Norvell praised Uiagalelei for his decision-making, noting the control he had and the grasp of the current installation FSU is in the process of implementing.
"Even in a couple throwaways, you could tell he was in control of what he was being asked to do today, and we've been pretty aggressive with our installation. We're trying to throw a lot on him. I liked how he responded. I thought he, how he reacted. It's exciting to see that progression."
Uiagalelei wasn't the only quarterback that shined in the contest, sophomore Brock Glenn and true freshman Luke Kromenhoek both had stellar performances.
"Brock, you can see just the comfort in his operation, knowing what to do. He had some good plays, good moments," Norvell said. "Luke did some good things today. I really like what I see from him, especially on third downs. You find a freshman in a third-down situation; that's usually one of the hardest things for them to get thrown into with just the different presentations and pressures and he does a great job at just standing in, trusting his eyes."
Overall, Norvell praised his entire team's performance in the contest, with the quarterbacks shining alongside the defensive line's aggressiveness and wide receiver production. Plenty of position battles ensue before the ball flies through the air on April 20 at 4:00 p.m.
