On a Throwback Thursday episode of the Gonzaga Nation podcast, former Zags' guard Alex Hernandez joins Dan Dickau to talk about the early days of the Bulldogs' NCAA Tournament success, the brotherhood that exists with former players and much more.
Hernandez played for Gonzaga from 2000-02 after spending two years at Casper Community College in Wyoming. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in his senior season (2001-02) and helped lead the Zags to a 29-4 record and a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Hernandez came back to coach at Gonzaga from 2006 to 2015 and currently resides in the Spokane area with his family.
