BREAKING: Former Jackson State, Alabama A&M Quarterback Will Enter Transfer Portal
Alabama A&M's starting quarterback Quincy Casey is entering the NCAA transfer portal. The redshirt junior shared signal-calling duties with Xavier Lankford for the Bulldogs in 2023. On Sept. 25, the SWAC honored Casey as the SWAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Casey posted his intentions to transfer on social media:
"Being able to live your dream and accomplish your goals scholastically is always a win/win...With that, I will continue to follow my dream by entering my name in the transfer portal with one year left as a grad transfer. Pressure is a privilege. See y'all soon."
In April of 2021, Quincy Casey left Jackson State before Deion Sanders' second season as head coach. The Memphis native had eight game appearances in his lone season with Alabama A&M. He posted 115 completions, 11 passing touchdowns, 6 interceptions, and 1 rushing touchdown.
The AAMU Bulldogs had a disappointing season, notching a record of 5-6 overall and 3-5 in the SWAC.
