The Kansas Jayhawks have survived so far in the Battle 4 Atlantis, most recently on a ridiculous overtime tip-in against the Wisconsin Badgers. Up next is the championship against a Tennessee Volunteers squad that also barely advanced.

The Volunteers are coming off of a 73-66 overtime win in the semifinals over the USC Trojans. They are coming off a 27-8 season and were picked third in the SI preseason SEC preview

Kansas moved up to #3 in both polls this week. Tennessee started the season ranked #11, but an early loss to Colorado dropped them to #22 in Week 2 and they remained there this week.

Kansas leads the all-time series between these two programs 4-2, including a 2-0 record in a neutral locations. The last meeting between these two teams was a 80-61 Tennessee victory in Knoxville two seasons ago as part of the Big 12 SEC Challenge..
