Our crew gets together to tell you what they expect for Saturday's game.

The Kansas Jayhawks hit the road for the first time this season, traveling up to Bloomington, IN for the return game of a home-and-home series that started last year. The Indiana Hoosiers are looking to get a big win on the season, already having big losses to UConn and Auburn.

It hasn't been a perfect season for Kansas, but they seem to have overcome many of the issues that were highlighted against Marquette. But Indiana matches up with the strengths for the Jayhawks, and that could make this one interesting.

Assembly Hall should be rocking for this one, but I expect the Jayhawks to come in and take care of business. KU has been at its best when the stakes are highest (Marquette being the exception) and I think you’re going to see top performances from Hunter Dickinson, Kevin McCullar, and Dajuan Harris in the last showcase game before conference play starts. Indiana got absolutely pummeled last time out against Auburn, so they’ll want to avenge that loss but I think KU will have too much. In addition to the three mentioned above, I’ll take Johnny Furphy to have a breakout game off the bench.

Frankly, I haven’t been all that impressed by this Indiana team that KU is facing. The Hoosiers have been blown out twice (including by a UConn team that Kansas has already beaten), and single-digit wins over Louisville and Army don't really do it for me. I’m excited for the matchup between Hunter Dickinson and Kel’el Ware on the inside, but I just don’t think IU’s top contributors match up especially well with KU’s. The same caveats apply to this game as they do to every Jayhawks outing (top six have to stay on the floor, someone has to shoot decently, etc). Long story short, I think the best prediction for this game comes with the easiest reasoning: KU has better talent and better coaching.

While I do think that Kansas is the more talented team by far, there are a couple things that make this difficult to pick. The Jayhawks haven’t played a true road game so far this season. With how Kansas fans travel, it’s impossible to think that they have been really tested with an environment like the one they will see. Additionally, Kansas has a legitimate question mark at the 2. The strengths of the Jayhawks match up well with the strengths of the Hoosiers, so this game will really come down to which team is able to get hot from the guard spots and force the other team out of their comfort zone. Give me a struggle in the first half, followed by a huge run and the eventual win for the Jayhawks.
