Three SEC players to be aware of prior to conference play

There is a lot of talent throughout the SEC this season. What are some names Kentucky fans should be aware of prior to conference play?

The SEC is as talented as ever this season. There are a lot of players throughout the league that cause problems, not for just Kentucky but for the league as a whole.

Who are some players that could cause trouble in conference play that seem to be flying under the radar so far this season?

Mark Sears, Alabama

Sears, a 6-foot-1 guard from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, is a senior in his second season with the Crimson Tide who previously played at Ohio. 

At this point, he is averaging 19.8 points per game which has him leading the SEC. He is also averaging 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game as well as shooting 57.1 percent from the field.

Dalton Knecht, Tennessee

Knecht, a 6-foot-6 guard from Thornton, Colorado, is a senior in his first season with the Volunteers who previously played for Northern Colorado.

Knecht is averaging 19 points per game which places him second in the conference. Additionally, he is averaging 4.6 rebounds and two assists per game as well as shooting 49.1 percent from the field.
