Kentucky Briefing: What do we need to see from the Cats at their annual Pro Day?

We need to see these things from Kentucky at the 2023 Pro Day.

It's time for Kentucky's annual Pro Day, which will serve as the Cat's final tune-up before Big Blue Madness on Friday.

This team has played together before, thanks to the trip to Canada, but these players have been together for much longer now, so you expect the on-court connection to be stronger between this team.

With Pro Day coming up this evening, what do we want to see from these players to give us confidence in this team?

The first thing we need to see is this team shoot the ball well.

The players will go through shooting drills, but at this level, everyone can make a three with no one on them. Good shooters can make threes in high-pressure situations with a hand in their face.

Thanks to guys like Antonio Reeves, DJ Wagner, and Reed Sheppard, I expect the Cats to shoot the ball at a high level this year.

It will be interesting to see how this team does on the boards. We have talked about how important it will be for this team to replace Big O, who was one of the best rebounders in college basketball history.

A lot of the rebounding will come down to the health of Ugonna Onyenso and Aaron Bradshaw. If those two are healthy and out there rebounding, well, Kentucky fans should feel good about rebounding.

If they aren't, a lot will come down to Tre Mitchell helping this team on the boards.

We will learn a lot about this team tonight.

Lance Dawe wrote about a Wildcats Today exclusive interview with an NBA Draft expert who shared his thoughts on Justin Edwards.

"Kentucky basketball has a special player in Justin Edwards."

"Edwards may end up being one of the most underrated pieces of this loaded Wildcats' squad this upcoming season, given his versatility and size at the small forward position. Kentucky doesn't have a lot of options at the three, so having a talent like Edwards leading the way is excellent."
