Kentucky seven-footer enters the transfer portal
Kentucky just lost a seven-footer to the transfer portal.
With John Calipari making the move to Arkansas, it was expected that some Kentucky players would enter the transfer portal.
It didn't take long for this to happen, as Aaron Bradshaw just decided to enter the transfer portal. He will test the NBA waters, but Bradshaw isn't NBA-ready and will likely be back in college next season at a new school.
The seven-footer came to Lexington with a lot of expectations, but an injury kept him off the court for a while, making it harder for him to gain the muscle he needed to compete in the SEC. Bradshaw is a good basketball player who will be a star next season if he is able to get more physical and stronger.
One solid college season could get Bradshaw in the lottery of the 2025 NBA Draft, thanks to his ability to shoot the basketball at his height.
What will be interesting about Bradshaw hitting the transfer portal is seeing if he ends up with Calipari at Arkansas or if he finds a new school to play at with zero Kentucky ties.
The highlight of Bradshaw's Kentucky career was the three he hit against the Florida Gators in Gainesville, leading to a huge SEC opening win.
On the season, Bradshaw averaged 4.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.3 assists, and one block per game for the Wildcats during his freshman season.
Bradshaw will not be the last player to leave Kentucky, as we see a ton of change throughout the program amid the coaching search.
