Starting right tackle Quinn Carroll returning to Gophers in 2024

A day after left tackle Aireontae Ersery announced he would be returning in 2024, right tackle Quinn Carroll announced he too would be returning to the Gophers next season.
"This is Quinn Carroll, letting you know I'm coming back for a sixth year and joining Dinkytown Athletes," Carroll announced in a video on X Wednesday.
Head coach P.J. Fleck has banged the drum over the last couple weeks over the need for more Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) money for the program or there would be a risk of talented players leaving to play for programs where they can make money.
The Gophers NIL partner, Dinkytown Athletes, has now helped lock up a growing list of talented Gophers, including Ersery, wide receiver Daniel Jackson, running back Darius Taylor and now Carroll.
Carroll allowed just one sack on 361 pass blocking snaps in 2023, according to PFF. The Edina High School graduate started his college football career at Notre Dame before returning home to Minnesota.
The Gophers look set to return four of five starting offensive linemen from 2023, with center Nathan Boe the lone starter out of eligibility.
