
Full Game Recap: Mississippi State Men's Basketball at Missouri
The Mississippi State Bulldogs dominate the Tigers in Columbia to get their first road win of the season. MSU had strong performances from two of their guards and forwards.
Josh Hubbard led all scorers with 16 points, and Shakeel Moore also chipped in 14 points while being a perfect 4-4 from behind the arc. Tolu Smith also got his 30th career double-double tonight with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Cameron Matthews was again all over the floor for MSU as he had nine points, seven rebounds, and a staggering seven steals.

That was an ugly game in the first half, and that is exactly what the Bulldogs needed. MSU’s road struggles have stemmed from getting away from their style on the road, but the Bulldogs have controlled the pace of this game. Hubbard is leading the way for the Bulldogs with ten points. MSU leads 30-26 going into halftime.
Second Half
Moore stays hot to start the second half. He is 3-3 from behind the arc. MSU leads 33-26. Jones Jr. now has three fouls which could loom large with the lack of depth for MSU.
Murphy airballs a three-pointer, but he must remain aggressive. Moore is now 4-4 from three as he converts after a Murphy pass.
Moore is playing excellent as he hits Smith with a great pass which leads to a bucket. MSU leads 40-28. The Tigers have only scored two points this half so far.
Davis hits his first three of the night. The Bulldogs are beginning to create some separation as they lead 43-30.
Matthews is very explosive as he converts on a fastbreak layup and adds a free throw. Yet again, Matthews with an emphatic dunk after a Hubbard pass. Matthews is up to nine points.
A pair of free throws are good for the Tigers. MSU leads 50-32.
Hubbard hits his third three and he has 13 points.
Davis steps on the line and that is a Bulldog turnover. MSU is still in control of this one as they lead 55-34.
MSU has hit a dry spell on offense but continues to play good defense.
