
How Far Did Mississippi State Basketball Fall in Latest Polls?
Frustrating week? That's a given. One in which the team can use as motivation for the rest of the season? Possibly, but obviously we'll have to wait and see.
When Mississippi State took its first loss of the season, 67-59, at Georgia Tech in the ACC/SEC Challenge, Bulldogs fans knew that there was a good chance that the team ranked No. 21 was probably going to fall out of the polls.
But then Mississippi State dropped a close contest at home, 60-59, to Southern University on Sunday.
"This is going to stay with us all year long, there's no way around it," head coach Chris Jans said. "We're going to have to figure out how we move forward as a group, and it's going to be hard. It's going to be tough. It's going to challenge the fabric of the program."
