Did You Notice?

• Mizzou traveled and arrived in Dallas. No. 9 Missouri and No. 7 Ohio State kick off at 7 p.m. CT Friday in the Cotton Bowl (see below).

• Day 1 highlights included attending the Dallas Mavericks game. The home team drilled the San Antonio Spurs, 144-119.

• That other team showed up, too:

• Small forward Michael Porter Jr. hit five 3-pointers en route to scoring a team-high 22 points as the Denver Nuggets won at Charlotte, 102-95. The most impressive statistic, though, was the Nuggets kept the Hornets from scoring a field goal on 17 straight possessions to open the second half.

• Jordan Clarkson scored 16 of his 30 points in fourth quarter as the Jazz overcame a 17-point deficit to beat Raptors 126-119. Clarkson's was making his return after missing six games due to a sore right hamstring.

Mizzou Quote of the Day:

"I believe I was just another leader that was added to the locker room, a great brotherhood. They brought me in. They showed me the ropes, and we just stuck together. I really give all the credit to the team. Like, I am my own person, of course. I am my own leader, of course, and I brought something different to the team. But it was the brotherhood that really just made everything fall into place."
