Mizzou Minute: 3-star WR Prospect Sets Commitment Date
Missouri football is in the running for 3-star WR Joakim Dodson, the No. 546 player in the country.
Dodson is deciding between the Tigers and Tennessee, his hometown team. After visiting Knoxville this past weekend, all signs point to him committing to Tennessee.
The tigers have yet to land a commitment for the class of 2025. Though it is early, players are starting to fly off the board.
Missouri women's basketball struggled against No. 1 ranked South Carolina, falling 83-45. The Tigers were without graduate forward Hayley Frank, which easily could have played a part in the dominant defeat.
Sophomore guard Ashton Judd led the way for the Tigers, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. She shot 5-for-13 from the field, while going 2-for-5 from the three-point line.
The Tigers only shot 15-for-53 from the field, with 9 of those makes coming from behind the arc. It was simply a cold shooting day against the nations top ranked team.
The Tigers take on Auburn on the road next on Feb. 11. Auburn is 14-8 on the year and 3-6 in SEC play.
In more positive news, former Missouri football head Coach Gary Pinkel was added to the College Football Playoff selection committee. Pinkel is apart of a six person board, comprised of various former players and coaches, as well as current athletic directors.
Current University of Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel was appointed the selection committee chair position, replacing Boo Carrigan.
The board will be the first board tasked with deciding a brand new 12-team playoff this coming season.
