Women's Basketball: The Tigers' took a 72-61 win over Belmont to start their season. Mama Dembele and Hayley Frank led the team in scoring with 15 a piece, while Grace Slaughter and Ashton Judd led with 10 rebounds each. Missouri had the lead for a majority of the game, only losing it for 1 minute and 53 seconds in the 5th minute. 

Men's Basketball: Racking up 101 points over the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff's 79, Missouri took the win in its season opener. Graduate guard Sean East II led the team in scoring with 21 points. Missouri shot well from the free throw line, making 17 of 19 attempts as it overcame the Golden Lions to start the season 1-0.

  • Missouri Football Linebacker Ty'ron Hopper was named a semifinalist for the Butkus Award. This award "honors athletic achievement and service to the community while recognizing the nation’s best high school, college, and professional linebackers." Hopper was one of 51 players to make the preseason watchlist for the award named after former NFL Linebacker Dick Butkus, who passed away on Oct. 5, 2023.
  • Connor Vanover, Missouri Men's basketball's newest 7-foot-5 transfer, will miss the first three games of the season due to his participation in he Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in April. 
  • Jordan Iliff secured Offensive Player of the Week while Sierra Dudley was tabbed Freshman of the Week as the Mizzou volleyball team went 2-0 over its pair of SEC matches.
