How to Watch: Missouri Baseball at Georgia

The Tigers look to continue their recent SEC success in Athens.

Looking to the past, Missouri has a good chance against the Georgia Bulldogs. The two teams have split their last 30 contests and the Tigers swept their last series against them. But that was last year.

This year's team is coming off a surprising loss to SIUE in their midweek game, but saw great success in the weekend before. Just days before they fell to the Cougars, Missouri earned their first SEC series win of the year and first ever sweep of Florida in program history.

The Tigers switched their starting rotation up a bit for this series. To lead off the series, fifth year Carter Rustad will take the mound for his third SEC start of the year. Rustad last pitched five innings of one hit, one run baseball in Missouri's extra-inning walk off of Florida on April 6.

Next up for the Tigers is sophomore Logan Lunceford, who pitched Missouri to their game one win against Florida. Lunceford tossed a one hit shutout through six innings against their top-ranked opponents, striking out eight.

Junior Javyn Pimental will close the series for Missouri. Pimental powered them to their second win of the series against the Gators, allowing only one run in his five innings and striking out five.
