Homegrown Point Guard Joins 2025 Missouri Basketball Recruiting Class

Aaron Rowe, a point guard in the class of 2025, announced his commitment to the Tigers on the afternoon of Dec. 12 on social media.
The Columbia native is a composite 5-star point guard, ranked No. 20 in the country. Rowe is one of the highest ranked prospects in Missouri recruiting history. Rowe is the first member of Missouri's 2025 recruiting class.
Rowe started his high school career at Father Tolton in Columbia before transferring to national high school basketball powerhouse Link Academy in Branson, Mo. Rowe has returned to Father Tolton for the final two years of his high school career.
Rowe's decision came down to Missouri, Tennessee and Kansas State. Prediction for a period of time favored the Volunteers but shifted in favor of Tigers after his official visit to MU during the weekend of December 2nd.
In composite rankings, Rowe is the No. 4 point guard in the country behind some of the nation's best. Rowe also ranks as the second best player in the state behind Link Academy 5-star Jasper Johnson.
Johnson, the 6-4 shooting guard, may be a target for the Tigers in the 2025 cycle. He is the No. 12 player in the country in composite rankings and is the second best at his position.
It may be too early to tell who else Dennis Gates and co. are targeting for the class of 2025, but securing a commitment from a player of Rowe's calliber early on may be only the beginning for a strong recruiting class for Missouri.
