No. 14 Missouri Football vs No. 13 Tennessee: Live Game Updates
In a battle of two of the SEC's best teams, the Missouri Tigers will kick off at home against the Tennessee Volunteers. Follow along for live game updates from the big matchup.

In the Missouri Tigers' finest performance of the 2023 season, they rolled through the Tennessee Volunteers, 36-7.
It was a dominant offensive and defensive performance, led by running back Cody Schrader's 321 total yards. Schrader's performance will go down as an all-time great one for the Missouri football program, becoming the first player in school history to have 90+ yards rushing and receiving in the same game – which was completed in the first half.
Here are the game updates from tonight.
First Quarter
- Brady Cook finds Cody Schrader deep for a 37-yard gain. An electric way to open up this game.
- Cook targeted Luther Burden III and misses right into the Tennessee defense. The 4th quarter troubles against Georgia continued on that play.
- Lots of quality short passes to open Missouri receivers. The Tigers are finding the gap.
- END OF 1ST: Tennessee 0 - Missouri 0
- A lot of possession time during the quarter for Missouri, having 13:15 compared to Tennessee's 1:45. Offense looked strong outside of the interception.
Second Quarter
- 14:16: The Tigers' 20-play drive ends with a Mevis field goal from 31-yards. Tennessee 0 - Missouri 3.
- Dont'e Thornton Jr.'s 46-yard catch stands, an unbelievable sliding catch that puts the Volunteers up 7-3.
- SO many injuries in this game. I recall five or six in the first 20 minutes of the game already.
- Schrader has three pass catches for 93-yards. The running back is pretty good at football.
- 10:33: Schrader brings home a 7-yard touchdown to put the Tigers up 10-7. An unbelievable half for the senior.
- Cook has a fantastic ability to get out of the pocket and carry the football. The dives are always scary, though.
- Huge forced fumble with 20 seconds left in the quarter. Big time stop that will prevent Tennessee from going ahead before halftime.
- END OF 2ND: Tennessee 7 - Missouri 13
- A strong first half for the Tigers. Schrader gained a total of 198 yards in the half, including the longest catch of his career at 43-yards.
Third Quarter
- Insane catch and throw from Cook to Marquise Johnson. Don't know how Johnson was able to catch that.
- Cook's fake pitch does the trick and Missouri scores once again. It's a 19-7 game here in Columbia, with all of the momentum going towards the Tigers.
- Milton throws the ball with immeasurable speed. It's not always on target, but you can hardly see the ball leave his hands at times.
- Schrader has more yards than the entire Tennessee offense...
- The Missouri defense has played incredible today, but quite a few missed pick opportunities.
- The Volunteers are elite at punting.
- END OF 3RD: Tennessee 7 - Missouri 22
Fourth Quarter
- Dylan Sampson inadvertently knocked the ball out of Joe Milton's hands on a throw attempt, resulting in a fumble. Missouri recovers for a massive play.
- 10:57: 31-yard rush from Schrader. His dominance tonight continues.
- 6:21: Burden takes home his first touchdown of the night. Missouri is up 29-7, game is pretty much over.
- To rub the loss in even more, Daylan Carnell just picked off Milton, putting the Tigers ahead 35-7. Faurot Field is rocking.
- FINAL: Tennessee 7 - Missouri 36
- Talk about bouncing back from a loss. Missouri came back home for the first time since Homecoming and completely dismantled Tennessee, putting itself firmly in second place of the SEC East.
