Where Did the Polls Have Mizzou After Dramatic Florida Win?

In the long history of Missouri football, only 20 seasons have seen the Tigers ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press poll. Of those, just eight managed to finish that high.
On Sunday, after Mizzou defeated Florida 33-31 on a last-second field goal at Memorial Stadium, both the AP Top 25 and the coaches poll rewarded the Tigers by moving them up in to the top 10 this week. However, neither had Missouri at No. 9, where the College Football Playoff committee ranked it last week.
The polls prefer 10-1 Louisville, which clinched a spot in the ACC Championship Game with its win at Miami on Saturday. The Cardinals will face Florida State, which lost quarterback Jordan Travis to a serious leg injury against North Alabama.
Regardless, unless Mizzou stumbles Friday during its regular-season final at Arkansas, it'll almost certainly play in a New Year's-type bowl, with the Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz in Atlanta on Dec. 30 a strong possibility.
