October 21, 1972: Coming off the worst loss in the history of the Mizzou-Nebraska series (62-0), the Tigers were 35-point underdogs at Notre Dame but pulled off arguable the biggest upset in program history, 30-26. Fullback Don Johnson had 26 carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns, and Missouri quarterback John Cherry efficiently ran the wishbone offense, while its defense made numerous key turnovers against the previously-unbeaten No. 8 Fighting Irish.

October 21, 2006: Quarterback Chase Daniel threw touchdown passes to four different receivers as No. 24 Missouri defeated Kansas State 41-21, snapping a 13-game losing streak against the Wildcats. At 7-1, the Tigers were off to their best start since 1969.
