Getting an offer to go play at a school is arguably the most important part of a player's recruitment aside from committing and signing to the program of the athlete’s choice.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are no average Joe when it comes to offering prospects. They offer a great deal of players from several different recruiting classes so they can build a base for multiple classes.
One offer went out recently to Trent Sellers. Sellers is a 2025 defensive end prospect who measures in at 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds and goes to high school at Faith Academy in Mobile, Alabama. He talked with HuskerMax about his Nebraska offer.
“It means a lot to me,” he stated. “I’m thankful they see the potential I have to be an elite player.”
He talked about what stood out about the Nebraska coaches.
“They were just straightfoward with the whole conversation.”
“I feel like Nebraska is on a rise right now and will be a really good team,” he said.
He believes a special group of people helps make Nebraska unique as a whole. That's the fans.
“The fans are really interactive in a good way, and I feel like they have a really good program. I see a lot of positive.”
According to On3, Sellers also has offers from UAB and Jacksonville State.
