2026 Edge Brendan Huddleston Talks Nebraska Visit

Seven-hour drive was worth it for 2026 prospect from St. Louis

For some prospects visiting Nebraska this spring, traveling to Lincoln isn't exactly quick and easy.

Such was the case with Brendan Huddleston, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound edge defender at Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis, Missouri. The 2026 prospect made an unofficial visit last week and
caught up with HuskerMax afterward to recap his time in Lincoln.

“My visit was awesome, definitely worth the 7-hour drive from St. Louis,” Huddleston stated.

What stood out to him the most? “Definitely the widespread love from the fans across the state for the Cornhuskers,” he said. “I noticed in many places I went to around it had Nebraska decorations.”

He said he “connected most to Coach Williams, Coach Schnorr and Coach Guinta because they talked to me in depth and wanted to get to know me.” Keith Williams, Brian Schnorr and Vince Guinta are all members of the Huskers' player personnel/recruiting staff.

He shared some more observations from the visit.

“The staff and the players are very family-oriented and I am a very family-oriented person,” he said. “The facility was also something I noted because it was awesome and conveniently put together. Also noted that it was still being added to, which Coach Guinta showed me a lot while touring me around.”

Huddleston hopes to visit again and said the Huskers “are for sure a top program. What makes the Cornhuskers a top program in my opinion is the love they’ve shown me.”

This recruitment will be one to keep an eye on.
