Fast-Rising 2026 Prospect Ian Premer Talks Huskers Visit

'Physical' practice impressed receiver from Kansas

Fast-rising 2026 prospect Ian Premer has caught the attention of Nebraska and several other college programs.

Premer plays wide receiver and defensive back at Great Bend High School in Great Bend, Kansas. Many college programs believe, however, that the 6-foot-6, 205-pound athlete would fit the tight end mold better. Nebraska, Tennessee and Kansas are among the schools that have extended offers.

Premer recently was on a visit to Nebraska and had good things to say to about it.

“I thought my visit to Nebraska went great,” Premer stated to HuskerMax.

He attended the Huskers' April 11th practice, and something he noticed was “how physical it was.“

He spoke to plenty of coaches. “I talked to coach (Matt) Rhule, coach (Marcus) Satterfield, coach (Josh) Martin, coach (Rob) Dvoracek, and more. I enjoyed these conversations and getting to know everyone.”

What stood out to him was the campus itself. “I liked the campus and how compact it is.”

A certain player caught Premer's eye.

“The TE group looked great,” he said, “and one player who really stood out to me is Thomas Fidone and how athletic he is.”

He confirmed that he intends to make a return trip at some point.

“I do plan to visit Nebraska again.”
