Ohio State Buckeyes Marvin Harrison Jr., TreVeyon Henderson Highlight ESPN's 2024 NFL Draft Rankings
The Ohio State Buckeyes are routinely well-represented in the annual NFL Draft, and the 2024 edition appears will be no different.
Last year, former Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud went No. 2 overall to the Houston Texans, is lighting up the league, and is a candidate for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. In 2022, former Ohio State wideout Garrett Wilson - who was drafted by the New York Jets with the No. 10 overall pick that season - won the award.
ESPN released its updated 2024 NFL draft rankings - the top five at each position, and Buckeyes wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. and running back TreVeyon Williams appear on the list.
For ESPN's rankings of wideout prospects, Harrison Jr. is listed at No. 1:
"This one needs little explanation, as Harrison has a strong case to be the single best prospect in the entire draft. His combination of 6-foot-4 size, body control, route running, catching skills and competitiveness makes him the closest thing to a can't-miss prospect in this class. He's a franchise-altering addition the minute he walks into an NFL facility, having racked up 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns this season."
Also appearing on the list are FSU's Keon Coleman, LSU's Malik Nabers, Washington's Rome Odunze, and Georgia's Ladd McConkey.
In the running backs category, Henderson is at No. 4. In three seasons at Ohio State, the Hopewell, Virginia native has carried the ball 427 times for 2,673 yards and 32 touchdowns. That's an impressive average of 6.3 yards per carry. He's also added 50 catches for 569 yards and another five scores through the air.
While Harrison Jr. and Henderson were the only players to make the list in the top five of each position, other current Buckeyes will no doubt have an opportunity to make an impact in the NFL in 2024.
