Sooners in the NFL 2023: Week 15
Baker Mayfield continued his comeback bid on Sunday, showcasing the talent and skills that were on display when he was in Norman. He has found a home in Tampa Bay and has the Buccaneers leading the division and squarely in the playoff conversation. Sunday afternoon, Mayfield notched his best performance of the season, and maybe even the best performance in his NFL career.
He threw for 381 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. You can read the full recap of his stellar performance HERE.
In other Sooners in the NFL news, Joe Mixon has continued his late-season run, picking up the slack for injured quarterback Joe Burrow. He has now scored in three straight games and totaled four touchdowns over that stretch. On Sunday, Mixon rushed 10 times for 47 yards and found the end zone once.
On the season, Mixon now has 815 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground, while adding 341 receiving yards and another score. He has been one of Cincinnati's most consistent players and ranks No. 11 in the NFL in total rushing yards.
The Cowboys couldn't keep it competitive against the Bills, but Ceedee Lamb scored again. He took his touchdown in on the ground, giving him two total rushing touchdowns on the season. He now has 1,306 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns with three games left.
Jalen Hurts and Lane Johnson will suit up on Monday night, looking to get the Eagles back on track.
