    Oklahoma Offers 2026 Dual-Threat QB out of Florida

    The Sooners continue to look for their leader in the 2026 recruiting class, offering their fourth sophomore signal caller.

    On Wednesday, Jones (FL) quarterback Dereon Coleman picked up an offer from Seth Littrell and Oklahoma. 

    Listed at 6-foot-1 and 160 pounds, Coleman isn't ranked by any of the major recruiting services yet, but already holds over 15 offers from schools around the nation. 

    In addition to the Sooners; Texas A&M, Mississippi, Nebraska, Arkansas and others have all offered the talented QB from Florida. 

    At Jones, Coleman was teammates with 2024 4-star quarterback Trever Jackson, who picked up an offer from OU back when Jeff Lebby was the team's offensive coordinator. 

    With Littrell now at the helm for the Sooners, Coleman is the fourth sophomore signal caller to receive an offer from Oklahoma. 

    It seems that OU's interest in Coleman is mutual, as OUInsider reporter Parker Thune placed an official prediction that the Jones standout would commit to the Sooners.

    Coleman trains with Baylin Trujillo, a QB specialist based in the Orlando area. Trujillo also works with recent Sooners' 2026 quarterback offer Noah Grubbs of Lake Mary (FL).

    After picking up an his offer from OU, Coleman thanked his skills trainer on social media. 

    "Appreciate you coach! You manifested this when I was 12 when you bought me that OU hat," Coleman said in a post.

    A true dual-threat quarterback, Coleman has a strong arm to push the ball downfield in addition to the speed and elusiveness to make him a dangerous runner out of the backfield. 

    If Littrell and company are able to get Coleman on board in the 2026 class, Oklahoma would have two big-time playmakers in the future recruiting cycle, as 4-star sophomore running back Jonathan Hatton committed to the Sooners back in October.
