All Pokes Staff Score Predictions: Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State
The Oklahoma State Cowboys travel to Ames, Iowa to take on the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT. The Cowboys will be looking to bounce back after a rough 33-7 loss to South Alabama a week ago.
Taking a leap to 3-1 with a 1-0 conference record would do wonders for the Cowboys, especially as they head into a bye week.
As things stand now, the revolving quarterback system will continue with Alan Bowman, Garret Rangel and Gunnar Gundy. Each of them will get their chance as the Cowboys open Big 12 play.
Watching how the offense operates against a solid Cyclones defense will be interesting as they have the opportunity to build some momentum on that side of the football. Excelling in this game could do some wonders moving further into their Big 12 schedule.

Neither team has put together a complete game yet this season and both are coming off bad losses. This game will come down to defense, and that could be an advantage for OSU.
Last week, the Cowboys held South Alabama to 10 points in the second half and shut out Arizona State the week before. So long as the Cowboys don’t fall behind early, the defensive success they’ve seen after halftime could get them an important conference win.
Score: Oklahoma State 17, Iowa State 13

In a game that will likely be a slugfest and won't be much good to the viewers' eyes, defensive play will be key, especially as the Cowboys will continue rotating quarterbacks and the offense is a huge question mark.
Key play from linebackers Nick Martin and Collin Oliver will keep the defense together in a game where it's much needed. If they can get support from the secondary and defensive line, the Cowboys might be able to grind this one out to improve to 3-1 this season.
Score: Oklahoma State 14, Iowa State 10
