Oklahoma State Game Time Against West Virginia Released

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will take on West Virginia on ESPN in Week 8.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys took down Kansas State in their home stadium this past weekend. The upset win was huge for the Cowboys and their momentum coming off a bye week.

Now, the Cowboys will take on the No. 23 Kansas Jayhawks at home in an attempt to upset another school from Kansas. If the defense can show up in Stillwater once again, there’s always a chance for the Cowboys to pick up some steam.

After taking on the Jayhawks in Week 7, the Cowboys will travel to West Virginia to take on the Mountaineers. They’ll matchup at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.

As things stand, the Jayhawks and Mountaineers are interchangeable as the no. 3 and no. 4 teams in the Big 12. This two-game stretch has the potential to be massive for Oklahoma State, which has recently seemed to turn a corner as a team.

Getting hot after a slow start isn’t foreign to this Oklahoma State program. They’ve got the chance to do so with this next set of games, and with the way the defense is performing — with the exception of the South Alabama loss — nothing will come as a shock anymore.

The Mountaineers are having a surprise season, being 4-1 through six weeks of college football and having a 2-0 record in Big 12 play. With the 2:30 slot on ESPN, the Mountaineers will be able to defend their home field as they attempt to continue building on their impressive start to their conference schedule.

The Cowboys have the potential to build some momentum through the Big 12, even with a loss to Kansas this week, as they look to try and be a top team in the "new Big 12" in coming years as Oklahoma and Texas depart for the SEC and new teams will be able to climb to the top of the conference.
