It's no longer a secret that Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon is an absolute stud. He's singlehandedly transformed the Cowboys offense and he's struck this team with a new sense of life after a rough start to the season.

Last week, Gordon was a focal point for the Cowboys offense as he received 29 carries and caught six passes as they took down Kansas in a huge matchup. He collected 284 all-purpose yards in that matchup and earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Again, this time against West Virginia this weekend, Gordon had high usage, as he had 29 carries. He rushed for 282 yards and four touchdowns as the Cowboys took down the Mountaineers. He added a huge fourth quarter to ensure the Cowboys' victory.

After the phenomenal performance, Gordon earned the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors once again. It's both deserved and incredible for him once again to get this award.

At this point in the season, Gordon is the unanimous MVP for the Cowboys overall, and certainly on the offense. This is no snub to anyone else, but rather praise for how legit Gordon has been since getting an increased role.

Obviously, Alan Bowman assuming the full-time starting quarterback role helps, as well as the offensive line absolutely improving week over week. Still, if Gordon can continue on this run, he and the rest of the Cowboys are due for quite an entertaining finish to the college football season.

Through seven games, Gordon has 816 rushing yards on 116 carries and has found his way into the end zone on eight different occasions. This is good for seven yards per carry, which is an incredible rate.

Gordon also helps in the passing game, adding 180 yards and a receiving touchdown on 17 catches this season.
