Pro Pokes: How'd Former Cowboys Perform in Week 5 of The NFL?
The Oklahoma State Cowboys were best represented by its running backs this weekend, which is no surprise as running backs are always well-developed in Stillwater.
Two of the top pro Pokes this weekend even went to head in a close 17-10 battle. Here are a few of the top performances from former Cowboys in the NFL this past weekend.
Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers: It seems that weekly, Warren is one of the best performing former Cowboys, yet he remains running back No. 2 behind Najee Harris. Warren was utilized both on the ground and in the air.
Warren finished the matchup with 79 all-purpose yards as he had nine carries for 40 yards and an additional three catches for 39 yards. When the Steelers' offense is lacking, Warren always seems to come through. They beat the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 this past weekend, which led to the next top performer of the weekend.
Justice Hill, Baltimore Ravens: It's interesting Hill hasn't seen an improved role with the Ravens yet. When he receives carries, he seems to make some elusive plays and show his value. He finished with seven carries, 32 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in the Ravens' 17-10 loss this past weekend.
Hill caught each of his four targets in the passing game, logging an additional 13 yards. His 14-yard touchdown strike opened the game for the Ravens.
Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: Watching Tyreek get in motion before a snap makes his speed even more entertaining to watch. He gets momentum before running his route and eventually just exposing the defense. Though the Dolphins played the New York Giants closely, Tyreek had an incredible game.
Tyreek pulled down eight of his nine targets for a catch and accrued 181 receiving yards and a touchdown. The offense essentially runs through him and his speed, which compliments the rest of the skill players.
