Pitt Commit Brandin Cummings Shines on Nike EYBL Circuit

The Pitt Panthers' lone commit in the class of 2024 was named to the All-Breakout Team.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have just one player committed to their 2024 recruiting class but he continues to outplay his rankings and ratings against some of the best competition the country has to offer.

Pitt commit Brandin Cumings lit up the Nike EYBL 17U while leading All-Ohio through a difficult 4-13 spring season. He averaged 19.0 points (sixth best in the EYBL) and 3.7 rebounds per game while making 51.1% of his field goals, 37.5% of his 3-pointers and 81% of his free throws. For his efforts, Cummings earned All-Breakout Team honors from The Circuit, an outlet that covers the EYBL circuit.

Cummings is rated as a three-star prospect by On3, 247Sports and Rivals, while ESPN considers him a four-star prospect. He's ranked as high as the No. 6 player in Pennsylvania (On3 and ESPN) and the No. 96 player in the class of 2024 (ESPN).
