Pitt Lands Four-Star OL Caleb Holmes

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers continued to capitalize on their wealth of official visitors this weekend, adding five new commitments from high players in the class of 2024 to a class that ranked in the top 25 of Rivals' and 247Sports' national rankings.
But Pitt still had some business to clean up from the weekend before, when they added another set of five players to the 2024 recruiting class. Four-star offensive lineman Caleb Holmes was one of those five players to commit more than a week ago but he didn't make his decision public until now.
Holmes, a 6'3 and 287-pound interior lineman from Fairburn, Georgia who attends Creekside High School, chose the Panthers over offers from Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Boston College and others.
On3, 247Sports and ESPN all rate Holmes as a four-star prospect while Rivals considers him a three-star player. He's ranked as high as the No. 25 player in the state and the No. 7 interior offensive lineman by 247Sports, who also has him No. 183 among all players available in the class of 2024.
