Three-Star CB Chasen Johnson Commits to Pitt

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have been on fire on the recruiting trail as of late, landing 10 commitments during the month of June to balloon their class of 2024 from 11 to 21 players in a matter of two weeks.
One of the players who has helped that class grow so quickly and to such dramatic extent is Chasen Johnson, a three-star cornerback from Seminole, Florida who committed over the weekend and made his announcement at the conclusion of an official visit to Pitt.
Johnson, who made the switch from receiver to cornerback last season, picked Pitt over offense from South Carolina, West Virginia, UCF, Florida State, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Illinois, Indiana, Oregon State, Missouri and others. He had taken visits to see the Gamecocks and Knights, as well as Florida and Miami, earlier this year.
Rated by 247Sports and On3 as a three-star prospect, he's ranked as high as the No. 111 player in the state of Florida and the No. 65 cornerback in his class (247Sports).
