Three Stanford players receive All-Pac-12 Honors

All-Pac-12 Defensive Team

Despite leading the team in scoring the past two seasons, Spencer Jones has been recognized for his efforts on the defensive end. He is typically guarding the opposing team's best player, and in Pac-12 play was averaging 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks. Despite not leading the team in scoring this year, he still provides nearly 11 points per game.

All-Pac-12 Freshman Team

After missing the first chunk of the season, Carlyle hit the ground running right away. On the year he is averaging 11.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, while having a scoring outburst of 29 and a program record for a freshman, with 31. He will be a major building block for the program assuming he doesn't declare for the NBA Draft.

Pac-12's Most Improved Player

According to a release, he is now the fourth player in the program's history to receive this honor. He saw his points per game increase from 8.8 last season to a team-high 15.6 this year, saw his rebounds increase from 6.1 to 9.6, and also saw a bump in his field goal percentages going from 54% to 57.8% this season. If the junior decides to return for another season, the Cardinal will certainly have one of the best big men in the country.
