If there's been a positive constant among all the inconsistencies of coach Jimbo Fisher's tenure in College Station, it's the defense. Fisher's defense has been consistently good, and at times, carried a faltering offense to victories.

But good enough isn't good enough, and Fisher and his recruiting team are always building. And now, 2024 four-star corner Selman Bridges has announced that the Aggies are in the running for his services.

Bridges released his top-9 schools on Thursday and included A&M among the suitors left.

The 6-4, 170-pound defensive back from Temple is the No. 5 corner in his class and has received a plethora of offers from Power Five schools. Bridges made an unofficial visit to College Station back on January 28, and reports are he's most interested in A&M, USC, Arkansas and Texas.

Bridges is a multi-sport athlete who also excelled in track & field and basketball. Bridges averaged 4.1 points and 3.9 rebounds across 34 varsity games in his sophomore basketball season while running 200-meter times of 22.91, 23.09, and 23.13.

Bridges finished his junior season at Lake Belton with 46 tackles and two interceptions, including a pick-6, while helping his team to an 8-3 record and a Texas 5A D-I first-round playoff appearance.
