Aggies Blowout ULM 47-3 Head of SEC Opener vs. Auburn

The Aggies took care of business in their final non-conference game on Saturday against Louisiana Monroe.

The Texas A&M Aggies came back to College Station disappointed after their road loss to the Miami Hurricanes in Week 2. And in Week 3, they bounced back in a big way, blowing out the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks 47-3 at Kyle Field.

On one hand, Saturday afternoon served as a pallet cleanser for the Aggies, who came out firing on all cylinders and took a 27-3 lead into the locker room at halftime.

That onslaught was led by sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman, who completed a hyper-efficient 25 of 29 passes for 337 yards and one touchdown while rushing three times for 18 yards and another score.

The Aggies also displayed a balanced ground attack, with the trio of Rueben Ownes, Amari Daniels and Le'Veon Moss combining for 25 carries for 113 yards and two touchdowns - one of which came from Owens in his first career score.

On the other hand, Saturday was also a tune-up and a final dress rehearsal for the opening of SEC play, which begins next week against the Auburn Tigers at Kyle Field.

Not only will the matchup with the Tigers be a chance for the Aggies to right the ship, and get themselves back on track in terms of their SEC West goals, but it will also serve as a chance to put together two good wins in a row and build momentum - something they have not been able to do since the 2021 season.

Kick-off in College Station is set for 11 am CT
