Know Your Foe: Colorado Football Players to Watch

Shedeur Sanders is a former four-star recruit and also the son of Colorado's head coach, Deion Sanders. This will be Sanders' first season at Colorado, transferring from Jackson State, where he had a very successful start to his career. He was playing at the FCS level, but his talent is nothing to be left unnoticed. 

Sanders has the potential to continue what he did in high school and at Jackson State. He can be a top-level talent. His arm talent is very impressive, especially in short ranges where he can place the ball in very tight windows. Sanders struggles throwing the ball deep downfield but can do it well enough. TCU needs to get to him and his O-Line early, and be aware that he has legs and can use them when needed. 

Travis Hunter is one of the nation's most exciting and impactful players. He can play both ways and really be a threat on both sides of the ball. He was the class of 2022 top cornerback. He put up decent stats at Jackson State and showed that he is fully capable of being an elite Power 5 collegiate player. TCU must make meaningful throws and plays, or he could be a problem.

Shilo Sanders is the older brother to Shedeur and the son of Deion. Shilo has had a pretty good collegiate career, first at South Carolina and then at Jackson State. Adding him to this team is huge for Colorado because they can add more very talented players to this defense, who had struggled in the past seasons. He is a quick and fast player, so TCU will have to notice and match his physicality and speed. 

Colorado has three new running backs who have all competed for the starting role, as of the recent depth chart from OurLads. It looks like Alton McCaskill IV will get the starting job. He is a back with lots of experience, transferring from Houston, where he had decent production. TCU must slow the run down, forcing them to throw the ball more. The Frogs definitely need to be aware of him.

Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan plays a major role on this team, arguably the largest one, which is keeping Shedeur safe from getting hit. He is a very talented offensive tackle with great potential. The Horned Frogs' defensive unit will have to fight hard to get to the QB and apply pressure.
