TCU Women's Tennis Falls 4-2 To LSU
The TCU Women's Tennis team traveled to Baton Rouge this past weekend in hopes of a victory before starting conference play. Despite their best efforts, the team came close but ultimately ended the dual with a loss.
The Horned Frogs failed to win any doubles matches, with head coach Lee Taylor Walker saying the team "missed a few overheads and volleys.... and failed to play their style of play.".
In singles play, Chiho Mushika secured the first point for the Horned Frogs, winning her match in two sets, 6-4 and 7-5. With that win, the graduate was able to stay undefeated on the season and move to a 4-0 record.
Destinee Martins, the number 166th-ranked player in the country, was able to secure the second point for the team in her singles match. Martins would win with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) score. That win would put the senior's season record at 3-1.
As they begin conference play, the Horned Frogs will be back in action on March 1 in Morgantown, West Virginia.
