Joakim Dodson Recaps Visits With Tennessee Staff
Tennessee has yet again been pushing hard on the recruiting trail for some of its top prospects. Collierville High School wide receiver Joakim Dodson is one of the most recent to receive a visit from this staff, not only once but multiple times. He recently recapped his time with the Tennessee coaching staff with Volunteer Country.
"It was amazing; we had a really good conversation and just great talk in general," Dodson stated. He was then asked how his relationship is with the coaches on this Tennessee staff, and he responded, "Really good. We've been building this since 9th grade, and at this point, it feels exactly like that because I can ask them anything I want, and they'll give me a real response, and I can talk to them about stuff outside of football." With him receiving multiple visits from this staff, he stated, "It helps their recruiting case a lot because they're showing me I'm a priority by coming to check on me back to back school days."
Dodson has talked about speaking with Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel multiple times in the past. He was asked what Heupel's pitch to him was this time. "They want me bad; Heupel even said I'm the only receiver he's visited twice, so they want me," the Collierville high school student-athlete stated. Finally, he went into detail, stating that they are making an attempt to get him on campus for a visit soon. He responded, "I'll be on campus this weekend on February 3rd."
Dodson has gained tons of traction on the recruiting trail as he holds multiple high-level offers from schools such as Tennessee, Ole Miss, and more. Tennessee seems to be in quite a good spot in this recruitment, but will likely not take their foot off the gas anytime soon.
