Shamar Arnoux Shines at Battle Miami

2025 three-star Shamar Arnoux (Carrollton, Ga.) committed to the Tennessee Volunteers early and performed well at the Battle Miami tournament this past weekend.

Carrollton High School corner Shamar Arnoux was Tennessee's first pledge in the 2025 class. The physical corner teamed up with two other Vols commits for his junior season but has now transferred to his third high school. He starred at Battle Miami over the weekend, a 7-on-7 tournament that brought many national types to Florida. Rivals' John Garcia Jr. touted Arnoux as a standout amongst a loaded group of prospects. Arnoux also visited the University of Miami over the weekend.

"Arnoux impressed all weekend with his C1N squad. Arnoux excelled in coverage and overall is a very physical cornerback. During his team’s championship run, Arnoux was always making big plays on defense." - Rivals' John Garcia Jr. on Shamar Arnoux during Battle Miami

Arnoux transferred to Carrollton High School for his senior season after spending the first two seasons of his career with the Westlake Lions and his junior year with the Milton Eagles. Westlake ran a bunch of two-man concepts that asked Arnoux to play quarters coverage, a concept Tennessee frequently runs. He also played man out of Cover-1 and Cover-2 looks, a necessity in the Vols' scheme; with how quickly they ran offensive plays, defenders must be ready to line up in a base set and run similar concepts out of a few formations each game.
