The Bruins remain in the running for one of the highest-rated recruits on their board.

Class of 2024 quarterback Isaac Wilson announced his top six semifinalists Friday on Twitter, including UCLA football among the contenders. The Corner Canyon (UT) product, who is the younger brother of New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, is also still considering Arizona State, Utah, BYU, Oklahoma State and Arizona.

The 6-foot, 190-pound prospect had additional offers from Idaho State, Louisville, Miami (FL), Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Utah State, Washington State and Weber State.

Wilson took unofficial visits to San Diego State, BYU, Oklahoma, Alabama and Georgia in 2022, and he has gone to Utah, Arizona and Arizona State so far this year.

According to 247Sports' Bruin Report Online, Wilson has come to Westwood multiple times – once in March 2022 and again in December 2022. Wilson was also recently at the Rivals Camp Series on March 12, as well as the Elite 11 Regionals on March 26, both of which were in Los Angeles.

Wilson racked up 3,774 passing yards and 40 passing touchdowns last fall, in addition to 695 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. With Wilson leading the charge on offense, Corner Canyon made it all the way to the 6A state title game.

Wilson is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN, although he is pegged as a three-star by On3. According to the 247Sports Composite, Wilson is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in Utah, the No. 21 quarterback in the country and the No. 348 overall player in his class.

UCLA's 2024 recruiting class is currently made up of four-star defensive back Khristian Dunbar-Hawkins, three-star offensive tackle Mark Schroller and three-star offensive tackle Joshua Glanz. The Bruins' three-man class ranks No. 60 in the country and No. 8 in the Pac-12.

Of the five class of 2024 quarterbacks UCLA has offered, three have already committed elsewhere. The only other options still left on the board are Wilson and Mater Dei (CA) four-star Elijah Brown.

The Bruins added two quarterbacks in their 2023 recruiting class, with five-star Dante Moore headlining the group and possibly challenging for the starting job left vacant by the NFL-bound Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Three-star Luke Duncan is also joining the roster, as is Kent State transfer Collin Schlee.

None of UCLA's scholarship quarterbacks are set to run out of eligibility this year, as even Ethan Garbers and Chase Griffin could both return for 2024 if they choose to do so. Four-star 2022 signee Justyn Martin is sitting on four years of eligibility himself, meaning the Bruins have plenty of options at quarterback moving forward.

With the transfer portal constantly hanging over teams, though, head coach Chip Kelly and quarterbacks coach Ryan Gunderson will likely try their best to add a quarterback out of high school regardless this cycle. Wilson is now one of the staff's top targets at his position, and the Bruins are technically one of the top contenders for his upcoming commitment.
