UCLA Football: Rose Bowl Used To Announce Return Of Fan-Favorite College Game

"It's time to address the Big Al in the room."

College football video game fans are rejoicing in unison as EA Sports announced its new EA Sports College Football 25 game on Thursday.

The trailer was shot at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and the narrator addresses the doubters who didn't think the game would happen again.

"Yeah, we've seen the posts, the predictions, the doubts," said the trailer's narrator. "We get it. It's been a minute."

The franchise discontinued the popular game over a decade ago amid lawsuits regarding players being paid for their image and likeness.

EA Sports announced two years ago that the game would be making a comeback and the Thursday's social media post said the game is coming this summer with a full reveal in May.

The new game is expected to feature the popular Dynasty and Road to Glory game modes that users fell in love with years ago.

According to Forbes, EA has reportedly offered athletes upfront payments for a combined $5 million, an average of $500 per athlete, and according to On3, some athletes have suggested they would hold out for compensation upward of $800.

Regardless of how much student-athletes are getting paid for their name, image, and likeness, college football fans can't wait for this summer so they can get their hands on their new obsession.
