UCLA Men's Basketball: Execs Praise Former Bruin As Best Perimeter Defender In NBA
In John Schuhmann of NBA.com's annual survey of the league's general manager, a number of different subjects were discussed ranging from who the best player in the NBA is, to which teams are considered the best in each conference, and which players will have breakout seasons in 2023-2024.
On the list of topics discussed included the question of: "who is the best perimeter defender in the NBA?"
Receiving 50% of the votes and 37% more than the runner-up, was none other than your former Bruin Jrue Holiday.

Recently dealt from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Boston Celtics, Holiday has indisputably been one of the league's top defenders since arriving in the NBA.
As a 5x All-Defensive Team selection, Holiday's consistency and impact on a neglected side of the ball is one of the best in history at the guard position.
Jrue has had an array of signature plays, including one of the top of all time during the Bucks 2021 championship run:
At 6'5" and 205 pounds, Holiday is one of the biggest guards in the league. His sturdy frame and elite defensive discipline and instincts give him a one-of-a-kind skillset at the guard position.
Already one of the top teams year in and year out, the Celtics certainly got a gem with the former Bruin. They'll be one of the top teams on both sides of the basketball this season, and Jrue will be a big reason why.
