Former UNC star Caleb Love committed to Michigan on Friday, per his Twitter.

The 6-foot-4 guard entered the transfer portal on March 27 after spending three years with the program.

In that time, he averaged 14.6 points and 3.3 assists per game on 36 percent shooting. His most memorable moment came in the 2022 NCAA Final Four when he hit the game-clinching three over Duke's Mark Williams to beat the Blue Devils in Mike Krzyzewski's last game and advance to the national championship.

Although the team had a disappointing 2022-23 campaign, Love had his best statistical season in scoring (16.7 points per game) and field goal percentage (37.8 percent). He faced widespread criticism from the media and the UNC fanbase for some of the team's issues, however, including poor shot selection and lack of offensive execution.

Love will now join a Michigan program led by head coach Juwan Howard. The Wolverines went 18-16 last season and finished eighth in the Big Ten, ending their season with a second round loss to Vanderblit in the NIT.

Will Love succeed in his new home and redeem himself to the national media as a top guard prospect?
