Garrison Brooks to play for New Orleans Pelicans in NBA Summer League

Former North Carolina standout Garrison Brooks will be back in Las Vegas for another round of NBA Summer League, this time playing for the New Orleans Pelicans.
Brooks recently finished his first professional basketball season, competing with the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League.
In 22 games, Brooks averaged 30 minutes a contest, recording 13.6 points and 11.6 rebounds per game. His successful performance on the glass ranked fourth in all of the G League.
Brooks played for the Knicks during Summer League in 2022, appearing in just two contests.
As one of just two centers on the roster, playing time seems to be available for Brooks, who is looking to find his way to an NBA roster.
He is one of four former Tar Heels to compete in Summer League in Las Vegas, joining Brady Manek, Leaky Black, and Pete Nance.
